Can kids paraglide? The honest answer

The hard floor is the weight minimum — most tandem wings need a combined load, so a passenger under ~20 kg can't fly safely regardless of age. That typically rules out children under 10–12.

At 12+ with the weight to match, kids fly tandem regularly. The guardian-consent requirement applies everywhere; some operators set their own higher floor.

What makes it work: a calm kid who can follow the run-at-launch instruction. What doesn't: a kid who's scared and wants to be strapped down anyway — the honest answer there is wait a year.

For teens interested in actually learning, some schools run junior discovery sessions — a taste of ground handling before committing to a course.
