Paragliding Harness

Harness is the seat for the pilot to sit comfortably while flying the paraglider. It has straps to hold the pilot securely and has space to hold reserve parachute and other items. This seat has a solid composite board with some padding. The leg straps keep you in the harness and prevents from sliding out. The chest strap or waist strap keep you in the harness and keep the position of carabiners in relation to your body.

Harness is made of thick nylon pack cloth which makes it resistant of moisture, dirt, abuse and impacts. It is designed in such a way that the pilot can clip in and out very easily. The straps are made up of Dacron webbing material and are adjustable for leg, chest & shoulder straps. They are sewn in many places to make loops or connections. The harness are tested for certification and approved for adventure activities. It is indeed tested to take 10 times the weight of the pilot. A back protection and side protection are fitted into the harness to protect the pilot from impacts. Back protection is made up of soft foam of 10-20 cm with polyester or Kevlar support. One kind of harness is made with an air bag, which inflates while flying and are preferred for light weight kits.
