About Me
February 9, 2006Hello Everybody,
I am Karamveer Singh, nick named Kams, from Pune city of India. I am a regular weekend flyer. I fly atleast 2 days a week (mostly Saturday and Sunday). I am flyin Gin Zulu (DHV 1-2) paraglider.
Paragliding as a sport is picking up quite fast in India, specifically in Areas near Mumba and Pune. Every weekend when I go for my paragliding I see schools (there are two major schools near my area, named Temple Pilots and Nirvana Adventures) have around 10 students at an average.
We have very good flying sites near our area. In winters (October to February), when the wind is blowing east, we fly at a hill called “Tower Hill” near Kamshet. In summers (March to May), when the wind is blowing from west, we fly at either “Shelar Hill” or “Pavna Damn”. Both of these places are near Kamshet as well. Kamshet is a city in between Mumbai and Pune.
There is no paragliding activity in our area in the month of June, July and August. This is the time when our club plans paragliding holidays to Bali (Indonesia) and Billing, Himachal Pradesh (India) or other places.
If you are a paragliding enthusiast visiting India and need any information about paragliding scene, safety, stay, traveling or any other stuff, just give me a call at: +91-9822196666
Also, if you are an India and willing to learn this support, not sure which school to join, just ping me. May be I can give guide you with whatever little knowledge I have.

See you in the sky…
